I got a new sewing machine for our wedding several months ago and I finally learned how to use it. My mother-in-law bought me a sewing table so now I’m all set. My first creation…a black and white couch pillow to go with our red couches. Just 5 or 6 more to go. I bought the fabric 50% off at Joann Fabrics and bought the pillow form at the Children’s Lighthouse thrift store for $2. Not bad. I’ll be recycling pillows we have here to make the other ones.

I’ve always wanted to learn to sew. When I was in high school my grandmother helped me sew a skirt and that’s the last time I touched a machine! Cute pillow!
